So I figured that even if I cant go to Japan to teach, I’m still going to for a few weeks to visit. I don’t need an excuse to go. I just wish I didn’t have to go alone, thus the whole teaching bit would have been better.

i vaguely recall her saying she would want to visit you whilst you were over there (hence, my assumption that she would be there with you for at least part of your trip).
